Hello, I'm TC Leonard, Founder of KC Pet-Connect, We're a non profit organization operating solely for the purpose of helping lost pets in the Kansas City Metro area find home, quickly. My goal is for KC Pet-Connect to become a "household name" in Kansas City, sort of a "one-stop-shop" to search and locate lost pets or the owners of strays. Currently, when a pet is missing, searching for it requires multiple calls or trips to Animal Control Offices, Local Police, County Sheriffs, Animal Shelters, Wayside Waifs and other organizations This is stressful and takes what seems forever to us who dearly love our pets. We want to make the process much easier and much more successful. We can't do it alone however as we are only one family, and we pay for all related expenses on our own. We live in rural Olathe and we work hard to "get the word out" to everyone we can because the more people that know about our service, the more successful it will be. SPREADING THE WORD about KC Pet-Connect to everyone you know is the most important way to help. Help us to become that "household name" in Kansas City. We can certainly use all the help we can get:

1). Spread the word about KC PET-CONNECT. Tell everyone you know because the more people that know about us, the more successful this website will become. Post KC Pet-Connect Flyers at your veterinarians office, your place of employment, any kennels you visit and anywhere else you can. You can download our flyers here and make copies. If you don't have the ability to make copies, e-mail us, and we'll mail you some.

2). Register for our "Lassie Alert Program". Register to receive occasional e-mails alerting you of pets that have been lost in your area (distributed by zip code). This way you can just keep an eye out for someone's loved one while you're outside exercising, or working in the yard, or driving to work. You never know... you may be the one who finds a pet that is missing. And you could cash in on the rewards that are offered.

3). Volunteer. We need volunteers to match LOST and FOUND postings, make follow-up calls for status of postings, find and register vets, animal hospitals, shelters and other agencies for our database, provide a temporary foster home for pets, etc.

4). Donate. We are currently incurring all expenses personally for internet hosting fees, postage, paper and marketing materials to make this program work. We would love to hire local school kids to distribute more flyers than we can alone, and we would love to be able to place ads in KC newspapers advising the public of our free community service. Even a $10.00 donation to KCPC, can go a long way. Please consider a small donation today. Thanks for you support.
